El domingo 13 de febrero y por segundo año consecutivo, el canal presentará en vivo y en exclusiva para Latinoamérica el evento más importante de la industria de la música, que en esta edición tendrá como protagonistas destacados a Eminem, Jay-Z,Lady Antebellum, Lady Gaga y Bruno Mars.
Ya se anunciaron también las presentaciones en vivo de Arcade Fire,
Eminem, Cee Lo Green, Lady Gaga, Miranda Lambert y Katy Perry
En febrero continúa en la pantalla de TNT la temporada de premiaciones, con la 53ª entrega de los Grammy Awards®, galardónque anualmente reconoce el desempeño más destacado de la industria de la música universal.
Tras presentar en diciembre el evento Grammy® Nominations Concert , por segundo año consecutivoTNT transmitirá en directo desde el Staples Center de Los Ángeles y en exclusiva para toda Latinoamérica esta espectacular ceremonia, La cita será el domingo 13 defebrero a partir de las 22.00.
Entre los nominados destacan el rapero estadounidense Eminem quien, en un regreso glorioso, obtuvo diez candidaturas por su disco Recovery; seguido por el cantante, compositor y productor de origen boricua Bruno Mars, con siete postulaciones. Lady Antebellum, Jay-Z y Lady Gaga también son fuertes contendientes, con seis postulaciones cada uno. Jeff Beck, B.o.B, David Frost, Philip Lawrence y John Legend recibieron cinco; mientras que Alex Da Kid, the Black Keys, Drake, Cee Lo Green, Ari Levine, Katy Perry, Rihanna, the Roots, Dirk Sobotka y Zac Brown los siguen de cerca con cuatro postulaciones. La sensación adolescente Justin Bieber participa en dos categorías: Mejor artista nuevo y Mejor álbum vocal.
La presencia latina también resalta en esta edición de los Grammy®, siendo nominados en la categoría de Mejor álbum pop Latino Ricardo Arjona,Alejandro Sanz,Julieta Venegas,Álex CubayKany García. Como Mejor álbum tropical compiten El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico,Juan Luis Guerra,Gilberto Santa Rosa,laSpanish Harlem Orchestray una compilación de sones cubanos con varios artistas.
Dentro de la categoría Mejor álbum latino de rock, música alternativa o urbana compiten Draco, el Grupo Fantasma, el Colectivo Nortec, ChocQuibTown y Ana Tijoux. Entretanto, en la categoría álbum de jazz latino compiten Pablo Aslam, Héctor Martignon,Poncho Sánchez, Wayne Wallace y Chucho Valdés. El veterano grupo Los Lobos está compitiendo como Mejor álbum de rock instrumental.
En cuanto al show orquestado para la gran noche de la música, participarán varios de los nominados de este año, quienes deslumbrarán a la asistencia y al público alrededor del mundo con espectaculares presentaciones en vivo. Serán de la partida Arcade Fire, Eminem, Cee Lo Green, Lady Gaga, Miranda Lambert y Katy Perry, a quienes más adelante se sumarán otras figuras.

Este año, la Academia de Grabación también entregará galardones honoríficos a la actriz y cantante británica Julie Andrews, el músico de jazz Roy Haynes, el Juilliard String Quartet, el grupo de folk Kingston Trio, la reina de la música country Dolly Parton, el grupo pionero del punk, The Ramones, y la leyenda del gospel George Beverly Shea, de 101 años de edad, quienes serán honrados con el Grammy® por su meritoria trayectoria artística en una ceremonia que se celebrará el sábado 12 de febrero.
