EN FEBRERO, MGM ARRANCA LA EMOCIONANTE TEMPORADA DE PREMIOS DE CINE CON:

"CRITICS' CHOICE MOVIE AWARDS"

ESTRENO EL DOMINGO, 5 DE FEBRERO A LAS 22:00HS

EN EXCLUSIVA PARA TODA LATINOAMÉRICA DIRECTAMENTE DEL HOLLYWOOD PALLADIUM

La temporada de premiación al séptimo arte empieza en MGM con el primer premio del año en exclusiva para toda Latinoamérica, el 17th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards desde el Hollywood Palladium en California, premiando las mejores películas que se estrenaron en el 2011. 

Los CRITICS' CHOICE MOVIE AWARDS son otorgados anualmente por el Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA), la mas grande organización de críticos de cine en los Estados Unidos, representando a más de 250 críticos de televisión, radio e internet. Los miembros de la BFCA son la principal fuente de información de los filmes actuales que salen a la luz pública. La primera opinión que el público escucha acerca de un estreno viene de alguno de sus miembros.

En esta edición los conductores serán los comediantes Paul Scheer y Rod Huebel, y la fiesta promete ser muy entretenida. Con celebridades de primer nivel ya confirmados, los Premios Critics' Choice Movie Awards prestará un homenaje a Martin Scorsese con el premio Critics' Choice Music+Film Award. A demás George Clooney presentará el premio Joel Siegel que será entregado a Sean Penn por su contribución humanitaria en Haiti.

Entre los nominados se destacan las películas " Hugo"de Martin Scorsese y "The Artist", de Michel Hazanavicius que recibieron cada una la impresionante cantidad de 11 nominaciones, una menos del record de 12 nominaciones para "Black Swan" el año pasado.

"Hugo" logró nominaciones a mejor película, mejor actor joven para Asa Butterfield, mejor director para Martin Scorsese, mejor guión adaptado, mejor cinematografía, mejor dirección de arte, mejor edición, mejor diseño de vestuario, mejores efectos visuales, mejor sonido y mejor banda sonora.

Martin Scorsese tendrá una gran noche. Además del premioCritics' Choice Music+Film Award y de las 11 nominaciones a su film "Hugo", dirigió "George Harrison: Living in the Material World", nominado a mejor documental.

"The Artist" recibió nominaciones a mejor película, mejor actor para Jean Dujardin, mejor actriz de reparto para Bérénice Bejo, mejor ensamble actoral, mejor director para Michel Hazanavicius, mejor guión original, mejor cinematografía, mejor dirección de arte, mejor edición, mejor diseño de vestuario y mejor banda sonora.

"The Help" y "Drive" lograron 8 nominaciones cada uno y "The Descendants" y "War Horse", ambas con 7 nominaciones.

Y como la fiesta promete ser muy entretenida, la banda Fitz and The Tantrums toma la escena, interpretando sus músicas durante las entregas de los premios.
