"THE COMEDY AWARDS 2012"
LOS COMEDIANTES MAS DESTACADOS, LOS MEJORES ESCRITORES DIRECTORES Y ACTORES DEL MUNDO DE LA COMEDIA SON RECONOCIDOS EN UNA GALA ANUAL QUE MGM PRESENTA EN EXCLUSIVA Y POR PRIMERA VEZ A TODA LATINOAMERICA .
The Comedy Awards 2012 es la segunda edición anual del exitoso evento dedicado a celebrar el arte de la comedia. En una noche, esta histórica celebración honrará a los mas talentosos escritores, directores, actores y comediantes, quienes llenaron de carcajadas nuestras vidas durante el año pasado: Los pioneros que traspasaron fronteras; los programas de televisión por lo que apurábamos la llegada a casa; las películas que se han vuelto parte ya de nuestra memoria cultural colectiva; los comediantes y los videos virales que nos hacen reír cada día.
The Comedy Awards tendrán lugar el 28 de Abril de 2012 en el Hammerstein Ballroom en la ciudad de Nueva York, y estrenará en exclusiva por MGM el 19 de mayo de 2012.
Los nominados son seleccionados por el prestigioso Consejo de Directores de The Comedy Awards. El consejo de 2012 incluye a luminarias como: Carol Burnett, Chris Rock, Conan O'Brien, David Steinberg, Joan Rivers, Jon Stewart, Lily Tomlin, Ray Romano y Stephen Colbert entre otros.
Los ganadores serán seleccionados por el Cuerpo de Votación de The Comedy Awards, conformado por profesionales de la comunidad de la comedia incluyendo a productores, escritores, actores, directores y comediantes. Adicionalmente fanáticos de la comedia de todo el mundo podrán votar en categorías especiales a través de Internet.
"Loco y Estúpido Amor" y "Damas en Guerra" encabezan las nominaciones con cinco candidaturas cada una. Ambas competirán por el título de Mejor Película de Comedia, junto con "El Artista", "Quiero Matar a Mi Jefe" y "Media Noche en Paris". En cuanto a animación, la Ganadora del Oscar ® "Rango", competirá con "Cars 2", Kung Fu Panda 2", "El Gato Con Botas" y "Río".
