TNT transmitirá los Premios Billboard 2012
Los artistas más populares y vendedores del año, reunidos en la pantalla
del canal en una gran ceremonia a realizarse en el MGM Grand de Las Vegas .
Fuerte presencia latina, en cabezada por Shakira, Maná, Pitbull, Don Omar y demás artistas.
Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Linkin Park y Usher, algunas de las presencia en vivo.
El próximo lunes 18 de junio a las 10p.m., TNT transmitirá nuevamente uno de los eventos más prestigiosos de la industria de la música, los Premios Billboard; galardón que anualmente reúne sobre un mismo escenario a los talentos musicales más reconocidos de la actualidad.
Nuevamente, la ceremonia tendrá lugar en el MGM Grand Garden Arena de Las Vegas. Julie Bowen y Ty Burrell, quienes personifican a una particular pareja de padres en la exitosa serie Modern Family , serán los anfitriones de la gala, sucediendo a Ken Jeong, de la serie Community, responsable de cubrir ese rol en la entrega de 2011.
Los artistas que lograron obtener las mejores posiciones en el ranking 2012 de Billboard serán los protagonistas de esta noche inolvidable. Adele (18 nominaciones), LMFAO (17 nominaciones) y Rihanna (13 nominaciones) ocupan el podio de este año. La británica Adele compite en la categoría de Artista Top, en donde tendrá la dura oposición de Rihanna, Lady Gaga (10 nominaciones), Lil Wayne (10 nominaciones) y Katy Perry (9 nominaciones). Por otro lado, la categoría de Nuevo Artista Top se encuentra repleta de talento fresco: Big Sean, Bad Meets Evil, Foster the People, Scotty McCreery y Wiz Khalifa.
Las acciones sociales también cuentan en esta premiación, por eso en la categoría de Artista Top Social se enfrentarán Justin Bieber, Eminem, Lady Gaga, Rihanna y Shakira. Casualmente, en representación de la música latina encontraremos nuevamente a Shakira, acompañada por Maná, Pitbull, Prince Royce y Romeo Santos, compitiendo en el rubro Artista Top Latino.
Los créditos latinos tendrán otro premio en la categoría Álbum Top Latino, en la que compiten Camila con Dejarte de amar ; Cristian Castro con Viva el Príncipe ; Maná con Drama y luz ; Prince Royce con su álbum homónimo, y Romeo Santos con su Formula: Vol. 1 .
Y la estirpe musical de nuestra región también será celebrada con la elección de la Canción Top Latina, lauro que se disputarán Don Omar y Lucenzo con "Danza Kuduro"; el propio Don Omar (ahora en solitario) con "Taboo"; Pitbull con "Bon Bon"; Prince Royce con "Corazón sin cara" y Romeo Santos junto a Usher con "Promise".
Retomando los premios a los mejores álbumes, para la categoría Álbum Top Billboard 200 fueron seleccionados 21 de Adele; Christmas de Michael Buble; Take Care de Drake; Born This Way de Lady Gaga y Tha Carter IV de Lil Wayne.
Ya en las premiaciones a las mejores canciones del año, Adele y su "Rolling in the Deep" encontrarán dura resistencia en "Party Rock Anthem" de LMFAO, Lauren Bennett y GoonRock; "Moves Like Jagger" de Maroon 5 con Christina Aguilera; "E.T." de Katy Perry con Kanye West y Pitbull, Ne-Yo, Afrojack y Nayer con "Give Me Everything".
Por otro lado, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, LMFAO, Jennifer Lopez, OneRepublic, Alicia Keyes, The Wanted, Kelly Clarkson, Linkin Park, Nelly Furtado y Usher son solo algunos de los increíbles artistas que se presentarán en vivo sobre el escenario, en una velada excepcional que tendrá una duración estimada de tres horas.
Los artistas galardonados en esta noche tan especial serán aquellos que aparezcan mejor posicionados dentro del ranking Billboard, gracias a la interacción de los fanáticos, la venta de álbumes, los resultados de las giras y la participación de los usuarios de MySpace, Facebook y otros populares sitios web dedicados a la música.
Los Premios Billboard son reconocidos por pertenecer a la más prestigiosa y antigua publicación dentro de la industria musical. Cada año la revista registra estas mediciones junto a Nielsen Entertainment y Next Big Sound, con el propósito de reunir a los mejores artistas en un mismo lugar. De este relevamiento surgirán los nombres de los mejores artistas de R&B, Rap, Pop, Country, Rock, Latino y música alternativa.
