Se anunciaron las nominaciones para la 85ª entrega de los Academy Awards®
El domingo 24 de febrero una nueva edición de los Oscars® llega a la pantalla de TNT, con
el Pre-Showexclusivo a cargo de Axel Kuschevatzky y Liza Echeverría. La premiación, que contará
con Seth MacFarlane como maestro de ceremonias, tendrá comentarios de Rafael Sarmiento.
Hoy fueron anunciadas las nominaciones: Lincolnaparece al frente con doce, seguida por Life of Pi, con once. También cosecharon varias postulaciones Les Misérables, Silver Linings Playbook y Argo.

Reveladas recientemente las nominaciones, ya estamos cerca de vivir, por décimo año consecutivo en la pantalla de TNT, el evento artístico más importante de la industria: los Academy Awards®. Como siempre, el canal brindará la mejor transmisión de la mano de sus talentos y de una cobertura impecable.
El Pre-Show exclusivo desde la alfombra roja estará a cargo de la conductora de TV mexicana Liza Echeverría y del periodista y cineasta argentino Axel Kuschevatzky,productor asociado de El secreto de sus ojos, film de Juan José Campanella ganador del Oscar® a Mejor película extranjera. Además, la gala contará con los comentarios de Rafa Sarmiento, periodista mexicano especializado en cine que aportará lo suyo durante el evento.
Las máximas candidas de la gala de este año son la biografía del estadista norteamericano Lincoln, con doce postulaciones, seguida de la adaptación de la novela de Yann Martel, Life of Pi, con once. Cierran los puestos de vanguardia Les Misérables y Silver Linings Playbook con ocho, y Argo, con siete.
En el rubro Mejor película las aspirantes sonAmour (de Michael Haneke), Argo (de Ben Affleck), Beasts of the Southern Wild (de Benh Zeitlin), Django Unchained (de Quentin Tarantino), Les Misérables (de Tom hooper), Life of Pi (de Ang Lee), Lincoln (de Steven Spielberg), Silver Linings Playbook (de David O. Russell) y Zero Dark Thirty (de Kathryn Bigelow).
En el apartado de Mejor dirección compiten Michael Haneke (Amour), Benh Zeitlin (Beasts of the Southern Wild), Ang Lee (Life of Pi), Steven Spielberg (Lincoln) y David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook).
Pasando ya a las performances actorales, las candidatas a Mejor actriz son JessicaChastain (Zero Dark Thirty), Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook), Emmanuelle Riva (Amour), Quvenzhané Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild) y Naomi Watts (The Impossible).
En la compulsa a Mejor actor, aparecen Bradley Cooper (Silver Linings Playbook),Daniel Day-Lewis (Lincoln),Hugh Jackman (Les Misérables),Joaquin Phoenix (The Master)y Denzel Washington (Flight).
En el rubro Mejor actriz de reparto, la lucha se dará entre Amy Adams (The Master),Sally Field (Lincoln),Anne Hathaway (Les Misérables),Helen Hunt (The Sessions)y Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook).
Y entre los hombres, los aspirantes a la estatuilla a Mejor actor de reparto son Alan Arkin (Argo),Robert De Niro (Silver Linings Playbook),Philip Seymour Hoffman (The Master),Tommy Lee Jones (Lincoln) yChristoph Waltz (Django Unchained).
Otro rubro siempre interesante es el de Mejor película extranjera, y las candidatas son Amour (Austria), A Royal Affair (Dinamarca), Kon-Tiki (coproducción entre Noruega, Inglaterra y Dinamarca), War Witch (Canadá) y la representante de Latinoamérica, la chilena No, de Pablo Larraín (responsable de la serie televisiva Prófugos) y guión de Pedro Peirano (responsable del exitoso show televisivo 31 Minutos), con el protagónico de Gael García Bernal. Su trama da cuenta de la campaña de prensa en contra de Augusto Pinochet que un experto en comunicación implementa en un referéndum de 1988.
En cuanto a la Mejor película de animación, el premio se dirimirá entre estas candidatas: Brave, Frankenweenie, ParaNorman, The Pirates! Band of Misfits y Wreck-It Ralph.
Este año los apartados referidos a los libretos presentan una línea de "cine de autor" (ya que muchos directores son responsables también del guión, y dos de ellos compiten también por Mejor dirección). En el rubro Mejor guión original, aparecen Michael Haneke (por Amour), Quentin Tarantino (por Django Unchained), John Gatins (por Flight), Wes Anderson y Roman Coppola (por Moonrise Kingdom) y Mark Boal (por Zero Dark Thirty). Y en lo respectivo a Mejor guión adaptado, los aspirantes son Chris Terrio (por Argo), Lucy Alibar y Benh Zeitlin (por Beasts of the Southern Wild), David Magee (por Life of Pi), Tony Kushner (por Lincoln) y David O. Russell (por Silver Linings Playbook).

- A las 8.30p.m. y en exclusiva, el Pre-Show de TNT con Axel Kuschevatzky (ganador del Oscar® en 2010 por El secreto de sus ojos) y Liza Echeverría, con entrevistas desde la alfombrar roja.
- A las 9.30p.m., la entrega de premios, con los comentarios en castellano de Rafa Sarmiento y con opción SAP de audio en inglés. Además, habrá una cobertura minuto a minuto desde las redes sociales del canal (www.facebook.com/tntla y http://twitter.com/tntla).
Adicionalmente, este año TNT lanza una aplicación (App) del canal, sumándose a la actual tendencia conocida como second screen, que permite a los usuarios seguir las premiaciones por la pantalla de TV en simultáneo con lo que va sucediendo en las redes sociales, a través de sus dispositivos móviles.

- De la mano de Lincoln, Steven Spielberg vuelve a la noche de los Academy Awards® con la aspiración de ir por su tercera estatuilla, tras participar con War Horse el año pasado (ganó un Oscar®). Sus anteriores lauros los obtuvo a Mejor dirección por Saving Private Ryan (1998) y Schindler's List (1993). También obtuvo el premio Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award.
- Tras las ocho nominaciones en 2010 por Inglourious Basterds, esta será la tercera participación de Quentin Tarantino en la noche de los Academy Awards®, de la mano de Django Unchained. Su único Oscar® lo obtuvo en 1995 por Pulp Fiction, en el rubro Mejor guión original.
- El realizador taiwanés Ang Lee, ganador en 2006 del Oscar® a Mejor dirección por Brokeback Mountain (la película obtuvo tres estatuillas), vuelve a participar con Life of Pi. Su película Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon fue acreedora de cuatro Oscar® en 2000.
- Con sus postulaciones por Argo, Ben Affleck vuelve a concursar en los Oscar® tras Good Will Hunting, que en 1997 le valió la estatuilla a Mejor guión original junto a Matt Damon.
- El realizador alemán Michael Haneke, que participa con Amour en esta edición, va por su primer Oscar®, tras participar con The White Ribbon en 2010.
- Para el director neoyorquino David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook) será su segunda participación en el evento, luego de hacer lo propio con The Fighter, film ganador de dos Oscar® en 2011, y que le valió en lo personal la nominación a Mejor dirección.
- Luego de ganar el Oscar® en 2011 por The King's Speech, Tom Hooper arremete con Les Misérables, con la esperanza de repetir en el rubro Mejor dirección.
- Tras ganar la estatuilla por sus performances en There Will Be Blood y My Left Foot, Daniel Day-Lewis va por su tercer Oscar® con su personificación de Abraham Lincoln.
- Otro que también quiere el tercero es Denzel Washington, tras recibirlo por Glory y Training Day. Desde 2002 que no repetía nominación, y ahora participa con Flight.
- Tras dos nominaciones sin suerte, Joaquin Phoenix internará torcer el destino con su rol en The Master.
- Por segundo año consecutivo, JessicaChastain participa de los premios con Zero Dark Thirty, película de Kathryn Bigelow. Así cosecha su segunda nominación.
- Jennifer Lawrence también recibe su segunda nominación al Oscar® con Silver Linings Playbook, y luego de la de Winter's Bone.
- Tras su nominación en 2004 por 21 Grams, Naomi Watts vuelve a competir con The Impossible, film al que le aporta su única postulación.
- Alan Arkin recibe su cuarta nominación, y con ello, la posibilidad de acceder a su segundo Oscar® por su papel en Argo.
- Robert De Niro concursa con Silver Linings Playbook por su tercera estatuilla, tras recibirlas por Raging Bull y The Godfather II. Esta es su séptima nominación.
- Cuarta nominación para Philip Seymour Hoffman, quien ya ganó el Oscar® por Capote en 2006. Ahora participa con The Master.
- Ganador en 1994 por The Fugitive, Tommy Lee Jones regresa a los Academy Awards® con Lincoln, que le significa su cuarta nominación.
- Christoph Waltz también irá por su segunda estatuilla, tras obtenerla por Inglourious Basterds en 2010.
- Sally Field (Lincoln) es la más experimentada del lote de candidatas de este año a Mejor actriz de reparto, tras recibir dos Oscar® (Norma Rae, Places in the Heart) en igual cantidad de nominaciones. Hasta ahora, 100% de efectividad.
- A Field le sigue en experiencia Helen Hunt, ganadora en 1998 por As Good as It Gets. Ahora participa con The Sessions, película a la que le otorga su única nominación.
- No fue en la tercera, pero quizás en la cuarta… A eso aspira Amy Adams, con su nominación por The Master.
- Anne Hathaway (Les Misérables)participa por segunda vez, luego de su nominación de 2009 por Rachel Getting Married.
- Nominada en 2011 por Animal Kingdom, Jacki Weaver tratará de conseguir su primer Oscar® con su rol en Silver Linings Playbook.
